In the midst of all the crazyness that is wedding planning, we're prone to get sidetracked from the purpose for it all. We just get swallowed up in the quicksand of details, and think, surely it would've been easier if we had just eloped...

As I was wading through piles of old pictures of family and friends (backpacking trip to Europe, high school dances, Disneyland with college buddies, graduations, broomball social, hanging out in the backyard, various parties, acting silly, etc.) I was kind of struck by the fact that all of these people would be coming to celebrate with us. Friends near and far, and both old, old friends as well as new ones. God has been so good to us. And our dear loved ones are so good to us.
